FAQ

The Origins of Pickleball

What

Is Pickleball?

Imagine superimposing yourself on a table tennis table, and using your brain like you are playing a game of chess...it's a bit like that! It is a hybrid of badminton, table tennis and tennis, is easy to pick up from scratch and unites GenZ's and Baby Boomers.

Why

Play this Sport?

Because it is so much FUN! It can be as competitive or social as you like and offers excellent improvement for fine tuned motor skills. The friendly community spirit and eagerness by everyone to help is often its greatest calling card.

Who

Invented it?

Three American dads decided they needed a family game to keep everyone busy during the long US summer holidays and so in 1965 Pickleball was born thanks to Joel Pritchard, Barney McCallum, and Bill Bell

Where

Can I Play?

It is immensely popular worldwide, and as many have heard, it is the fastest growing sport in America. You can play almost anywhere if you have a portable net, paddles and balls. Check out our Play section to find us 🙂
